Drip, drip, drip goes the rain off the
tree branch.
Hazy overcast, hints of laziness in the
air.
Sweatpants drawn tight, socks on, we
watched movies.
Splash, splash, splash drops land in
puddles.
Black clouds rolling in like a shroud
of evil.
We cuddled up close, carefree.
Rain intensified, downpour.
Darkness, lightning, thunderclaps.
Smells of popcorn, sounds of laughter,
kisses.
Pounding rain eases to a halt.
Brightness slowly fills the world
again.
Just a couple on a rainy date.
